Seated Bacchus Statue, after the antique by Erik Gustaf Göthe (26 July 1779 – 29 November 1838) was a Swedish sculptor.
This full-figure marble statue of Bacchus, the wine god, highlights Erik Gustaf Göthe's talent in neoclassical sculptural style. After completing training at the Academy of Arts in 1803 he traveled to Italy and studied under Antonio Canova.
He completed Seated Bacchus for the outside of Rosendal Palace in Stockholm.
